Danka Jarzyńska – a sculptor and graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. In her work, she mainly uses traditional sculpting materials (bronze, marble, granite) and black oak. She also creates ceramics and installations.
She is a prize-winner of the NanoArt 109 International Competition organised by Galerie Roi Doré in Paris. In 2017/18, she received a special mention at the YICCA competition in Milan. Her works can be found, amongst other places, in the collection of the Centre for Polish Sculpture in Orońsko and in public spaces on Sobieszewo Island, where she lives and works. She is the creator of the project of a series of open-air granite sculptures: Gdańsk – Sobieszewo Island’ and the organiser of its first edition. She curated the exhibition Przejście at Sopot Art Passage in Sopot Centrum (2018). She has exhibited her work at the CRP in Orońsko, in Paris, Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Druskininkai and in numerous galleries across the Tri-City.
